The wife I want to be

I feel like often times I am hard on myself.  I punish myself for the littlest mistakes but I always strive to be better.  Being a wife is hard, I want to be the best wife ever and often compare myself to everyone else (not a good idea by the way). I am learning more and more that love is an action and I have started to pray to see Paul through the eye’s of God.

Today I wrote a list of attributes I want to possess as a wife of Paul.

·         Kind

·         Generous

·         Slow to anger

·         A safe haven

·         Cleanly

·         Respectful

·         Loving

·         Trustworthy

·         Peaceful

·         Good

·         Faithful

·         Does not pick fights

·         Submissive

·         Gentle

·         Self-controlled

·         Understanding

I asked Paul to hold me accountable and let me know when I am not working towards being the best wife for Paul I can be.

  1. Great list Missie!! God is doing great works in you for your husband; stay on task and don't let Satan deceive you. Praying for you!

  2. This is really interesting. We were listening to Air1 radio this morning and Deut. 8:5 was their verse of the day. I don't think I've come across the same verse twice in the same day in various places before! I wonder if God is trying to say something... :)

I also strive to be submissive but it is hard! It goes again my nature to be submissive to my husband but I know God wants it of me. Great list to work on!
